So, why should this year be any different? Viking Princess has had a fever (taken from her ear) for 3 days now. I give her Motrin, it gets better, and promptly returns in exactly 6 hours. The other day I stayed home with her and she took a FOUR hour nap, so I actually wrapped presents, cleaned, folded and put away clothes AND took a nap! It's truly amazing how productive I can be during the day when I'm home with only 1 kid who takes a 4 hour nap.
I've been doing my best to keep the other 2 away from her so they don't get sick with Woody goes out of town next week, but that's almost impossible when she and T-bone are nearly inseparable and the baby likes to touch everything and then suck on her hands. So, I'm just waiting for the others to invite this little virus into their systems and allow me to use up all of my sick days before Christmas vacation. Should be awesome.
I'm also feeling like sickness is creeping up on me, so I'm sure I"m in for an extra festive 2 weeks before Christmas. As a mother you are required to give more cuddles, kisses and hugs when your kid is a germy cesspoole, so I guess I should just surrender now. Oh, and did I mention we have to drive 16 hours to Nebraska?? I guess I better start loading up on Vitamin C, airborne, cold-eeze and sleep. Speaking of which, I think I'll go take a nap.
