Barbie seemed to recover well from her procedure, but I have yet to learn if it's really 'stuck'! The true test will come over the weekend, so I'll report back. If this doesn't work, there may be an unfortunate accident of some kind that leaves all the tiny shoes and things missing . . .
My little Viking Princess LOVES Barbies. But she also requires that her Barbies and other similar dolls have their shoes on at all times otherwise our household experiences a major 3-year old meltdown because Barbie's feet are naked. If you didn't already know, Barbie shoes are TINY, and pose something of a choking hazard to the baby. I'm constantly picking up tiny shoes and putting them back on Barbie, averting many meltdowns a day. So, naturally, I am sick and tired of Barbie shoes and all things tiny. As I was doing this for the billionth time the other day, it dawned on me to glue the stupid little shoes onto Barbie, theoretically ending any further shoe crisis that may arise. Once Viking Princess went to bed (because if she were to see such a procedure she may have some kind of coniption fit . . .) I pulled out the handy ol' Gorilla Glue, laid Barbie out on the counter and began gluing. Much care must be taken to not put too much glue so that it seeps out of the shoe or to put too little so that the shoe doesn't stick.
